The hit-show Sex and the City turned this drink into an absolute icon.
Beloved by many (one of my favorite cocktails) and wrongly referred to as a "ladies drink", the Cosmopolitan remains one of the most delicious, social, and sexy alcoholic drinks one can enjoy.
Be aware, a poorly-prepared Cosmopolitan can kill all the magic, so here's one of my favorite Cosmopolitan recipes to make sure you'll get your iconic cocktail done right.
Ingredients
(Makes 1 Serving)
2 ounces of vodka
1 ounce of cranberry juice cocktail
¾ ounce of fresh lime juice
¾ ounce of triple sec
Orange twist (for serving)
Preparation
Step 1
Combine vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice, and triple sec in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
Step 2 Strain cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into a martini glass. Garnish with orange twist.
